Vision is a synthezoid, an artificial being, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
Initially created by Ultron to serve as a powerful host body, Vision was ultimately taken over by the Avengers. He was brought to life using the Mind Stone (one of the Infinity Stones) and a synthetic body created using Vibranium. Key to his creation were the combined efforts of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, along with a final assist from Thor.
Endowed with superhuman strength, speed, density control, flight, and the ability to project energy beams from the Mind Stone in his forehead, Vision becomes a powerful ally to the Avengers, and develops a close relationship with Wanda Maximoff.
